The Polish American Golf Association was formed in 1997 by a handful of devoted golf enthusiasts whose other common bond was their Polish origin.  The early years were spent in organizing joint golf outings and propagating their mutual love of the game with other Polish golf aficionados throughout the United States.

By the year 2000 this band of golf fanatics was growing fast enough to give the group legitimacy.  They decided to incorporate as a not-for-profit, combining their love of the game with the charitable aim of helping Polish youth.

This young organization has already achieved many milestones in its goal of propagating the game of golf among Americans of Polish origin.  Their emerging legacy already includes various official annual tournaments including:  The US Polsat Television Cup and The TV & Radio Kaleidoscope Open.  But their crowning achievement to date is the annual Polonia Open Tournament in Florida, which has been held for the past six years
& recently was moved to West Palm Beach Area to Palm Beach Polo Golf & Country Club which is known as one of the best private golf club in the nation and held PGA Tour Tournament - Honda Classic. This tournament has attracted so much attention that in the year 2004, was recognized by the Polish Golf Union as Polish Winter Golf Championship. 

Over the past few years the joint efforts of these two organizations have proven to be very fruitful and both the PAGA and Polish Golf Union look forward to expanding this mutual relationship.  To this end, the greatest appeal for American Polonians is to participate in traditional tournaments in Poland.  The most appealing of these events is the Polonia Cup Tournament held annually in August at the Amber Baltic Golf Club held at one of the most popular seaside resorts on the Baltic Sea-Miedzyzdroje.

From year to year our brotherhood of Polish golf enthusiasts grows. Golf is enjoying global popularity but for us Poles it’s still a new sport and we approach it with the enthusiasm and energy of a child discovering new frontiers.
